COLUMBIA, SC (July 3, 2013) – A Columbia woman found working on the weekend isn’t so bad when start you day with a $150,000 lottery win.

Kim West won the prize this past Saturday on a $5 lottery ticket she bought on her way in to work at Pepsi Bottling Company. She scratched the aptly named $150 Grand ticket sitting in the break room.

“My hand hit the table, and I kneeled down and said a prayer,” she told lottery officials reliving the moment.

Her co-workers congratulated her on her luck, but West will tell you she’s not lucky. She is blessed.

You see, this isn’t the first time she’s won big in the Lottery.

Last April, she won $50,000 and before that a couple of $10,000 wins.

What’s her secret? “You have to live right by giving and helping,” she shared.

West has given generously to her church, helped her siblings and taken her friends on trips with her past winnings.

“The other day a friend told me she dreamed I’d hit a million,” West said. “I hope that dream comes true.”

So do all those she’s helped along the way.

As of this release, two top prizes of $150,000 remain in the $150 Grand game. Odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 480,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, J & S Food Mart IV in Columbia received a commission of $1,500.

To date, lottery play has resulted in more than $3.1 BILLION transferred to support education.
