Spur of the Moment Ticket Purchase Wins Chesterfield County Man $100,000

COLUMBIA, SC (May 20, 2013) Jefferson Food Market 2 on Hwy 151 in Jefferson has sold a $100,000 winning lottery ticket.

The winner says he plays the Lottery once in a blue moon, but on his lunch break took a chance on a 100X The Cash scratch-off.

The Chesterfield County man took the rest of the day off to celebrate his $100,000 win.

As of this release, three top prizes of $100,000 remain in the ($5) 100X The Cash game. Odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 600,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Jefferson Food Market 2 in Jefferson received a commission of $1,000.

To date, lottery play has resulted in more than $3 BILLION transferred to support education.
