Business as Usual for $150,000 Lottery Winner

COLUMBIA, SC (May 9, 2013) Ė A Columbia man won $150,000 on a lottery ticket and didnít let that change his plans. He went home and cut the grass.

The winner told lottery officials he kept his emotions in check when he scratched off the $150,000 prize on a $150 Grand ticket. He was standing inside the A One Express on Rabon Rd. in Columbia at the time and slipped the ticket in his pocket then quietly exited the store. He didnít want anyone to know what just happened.

Heís keeping word of the win to himself and plans to carry on business as usual.

As of this release, three top prizes of $150,000 remain in the ($5) $150 Grand game. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 480,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, A One Express received a commission of $1,500.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than one million college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolinaís students. In all, more than $3 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
