COLUMBIA, SC (April 3, 2013) – A Columbia lottery winner’s plans to pay bills and save sound boring to her daughter.
“Just have a little fun,” the winner’s daughter pleaded.
“No fun,” vowed the Columbia mother, who won the first $200,000 top prize in the $200,000 Jackpot game that went on sale last Tuesday.
Having extra money available to take care of a few little things makes her happy.
“Mom, we both love to travel,” reminded her daughter, not giving up.
As of this release, four top prizes of $200,000 remain in the $200,000 Jackpot game. The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 600,000.
For selling the claimed ticket, Hickory Point #52 in Columbia received a commission of $2,000.
Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than one million college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $3 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
