2/21/2013 10:16:51 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (February 21, 2013) – Greer is home to the South Carolina Education Lottery’s latest millionaire.

While the winner declined publicity, the Lottery can say her lucky touch was realized at the Spinx Company #126 on Old Spartanburg Rd. where she picked out a $1 million winning instant ticket.

Staff at the store say she’s a regular customer who’s won big before playing the Lottery.

This time the winner overcame the 1 in 1.5 million odds to take the first top prize in the Money Money Millionaire game that went on sale the first of the month. Three $1 million top prizes are left to be won on the ticket.

Customers at the Spinx station are hoping history repeats itself.

Lottery sales at the winning destination are up according to store workers, who say the most popular ticket by far is Money Money Millionaire. Reportedly, the millionaire has been back in to try her luck.

For selling the claimed ticket, the Spinx Company #126 received a commission of $10,000.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than one million college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $2.9 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
