COLUMBIA, SC (January 24, 2013) – A Greenville father and son are South Carolina’s latest Palmetto Cash 5 winners.

The two play the Lottery together at least once a week.

Monday evening their $1 ticket won them $100,000.

“I feel great,” said the son, who picked the winning combination 12, 15, 18, 23, and 28 at the Piedmont Petro Corner Mart #38 on White Horse Rd. in Greenville.

They cashed in the winning ticket in Columbia on Tuesday.

Had the fellows Powered-Up for an extra $1, the $100,000 prize would have doubled to $200,000.

For selling the claimed ticket, Piedmont Petro Corner Mart #38 in Greenville received a commission of $1,000.

The odds of winning $100,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 501,942.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than one million college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $2.9 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
