$100,000 Palmetto Cash 5 Ticket Sold in Gaffney

COLUMBIA, SC (November 15, 2012) – A Palmetto Cash 5 ticket worth $100,000 was purchased from the Pilot Travel Center #435 at 909 Hyatt St. in Gaffney for Wednesday night’s drawing.

Two Palmetto Cash 5 ticket for the November 14 drawing matched all five numbers drawn. Had the ticket holder of the ticket purchased in Gaffney “Powered-Up” for an additional $1, the $100,000 top prize would have doubled to $200,000. A $200,000 ticket was sold in Lugoff and has been claimed.

More than 4,700 Palmetto Cash 5 players won prizes from $1 up to $200,000 in last night’s drawing. Like the Lugoff winner, more than 2,800 players spent an extra $1 to purchase the Power-Up multiplier and will have their winnings multiplied by two when claimed. The odds of winning $100,000 playing Palmetto Cash 5 are 1 in 501,942.

Proceeds from every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery are returned to the state in the form of funding for education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
