COLUMBIA, SC (March 16, 2012) – A Lancaster single mom with five kids had forgotten how it felt to be stress free. A South Carolina Education Lottery ticket worth $200,000 reminded her it feels pretty amazing.

“I took a deep breath,” the Lancaster winner said when she scratched the $200,000 Cash Celebration ticket and found she won the top prize.

“The stress was gone, and I knew everything was going to be fine,” she explained.

She thought of her children’s needs first. She plans to surprise them by taking care of some of their biggest worries like finding a place to live, college costs and reliable cars to get to and from work. She doesn’t want anything for herself.

“I want my kids to be able to take a deep breath too,” she said.

As of this release, four top prizes of $200,000 remain in the $200,000 Cash Celebration game.

The odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 456,000.

Murphy Express #8528 in Lancaster received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than one million college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $2.6 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
