COLUMBIA, SC (February 17, 2012) – An Anderson man called his wife from MD Food Mart in Anderson to tell her he won the lottery.

“Come straight home,” she ordered.

He arrived with a $200,000 winning lottery ticket.

The winner is paying off everything, the car, the truck and the house.

“I’m happy,” he said. “I’m out of debt.”

The odds of winning $200,000 on $10 Winner Green are 1 in 428,571.43.

MD Food Mart received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.

The retailer is becoming a lucky destination in Anderson. In June of last year, MD Food Mart sold a Mega Millions® ticket worth $1 million to two fellows from Anderson.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than one million college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $2.6 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
