COLUMBIA, SC (December 1, 2011) – An Inman woman startled diners at the Lyman Café when she scratched a South Carolina Education Lottery ticket to win $200,000.

Screaming, she left the table in search of her boyfriend. She ran into him as he was coming out of the men’s room.

“We have to leave,” she told him.

Admittedly disappointed he wasn’t getting to eat, he watched as she declined requests from those interested in holding or taking pictures with the Platinum Payout ticket.

Outside, she called her mom.

“We hit the Lottery,” she screamed.

The Inman winner took home the first top prize in the $10 Platinum Payout game. As of this release, seven top prize of $200,000 remain in the game.

The odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 375,000.

Vitri Get N Go Food Mart in Lyman received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than 932,000 college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $2.6 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
