COLUMBIA, SC (October 14, 2011) – Eddie Mustin came home from work and told his wife they needed to go into the kitchen and talk.

Seated at the kitchen table, he surprised her with a South Carolina Education Lottery ticket worth $200,000.

They started making plans. A consensus was quickly reached. The couple, with eight children, are getting out of debt and saving the rest.

Mustin bought the $10 Big Dollar Doubler scratch-off at Petro Express #3949 in York on his way home from his job at a Gaffney power plant.

“I felt numb for a few minutes,” he said describing what it felt like to win the cash.

“Awesome,” he added.

As of this release, four top prizes of $200,000 remain in the $10 Big Dollar Doubler game.

The odds of winning $200,000 are 1 in 288,000.

Petro Express 3949 in York received a commission of $2,000 for selling the claimed ticket.

Since the start of the Lottery in 2002, more than 932,000 college scholarships and grants have been awarded to South Carolina’s students. In all, more than $2.5 BILLION has been transferred to support educational programs in the Palmetto State.
