June 14, 2011 (Columbia) – What are your plans this weekend? Looking for something fun to do? Well, the South Carolina Education Lottery invites you to join us at not one, but TWO, special events this coming weekend in the Upstate!

On Saturday, June 18, the Lottery will be participating in the Mighty Moo Festival in downtown Cowpens. The festival is a celebration of the townspeople’s history and to honor the veterans and crewmen of the USS Cowpens CVL 25 and the USS Cowpens CG63. The day includes a parade, street vendors and food, carnival rides and a street dance. The Lottery will be on hand with our fabulous prize wheel and will be selling tickets from 10:30 a.m. till 7 p.m. For every $10 worth of lottery products purchased, Mighty Mooers will be able to spin the prize wheel for a wonderful lottery promotional item.

Also on Saturday, the Lottery will be celebrating the Inaugural Upstate Black Expo at the Carolina First Center at One Exposition Drive in Greenville. The event consists of seminars on health and finance, musical performances, celebrity autograph signings and lots of food and fun! The Lottery Prize Wheel will be on hand. Attendees can purchase the newest instant games or try your luck with a Powerball® or Mega Millions® ticket. Purchase $10 worth of tickets and spin the prize wheel to win some great lottery goodies! The Lottery will be selling tickets from 10:30 a.m. till 7p.m.

So, where will you be this weekend? There’s a lot going on! We hope to “moo” with you in Cowpens or shake your hand in Greenville this Saturday. To find out more about the Mighty Moo Festival visit www.cowpensmightymoo.com.
