COLUMBIA, SC (April 25, 2011) Doug Delk didnt get want he wanted. He got something better.

Wildwood Convenience Store in Moncks Corner was sold out of his favorite lottery scratch-off, so he picked another ticket. Standing in the store he won $200,000.

I found a good Easter egg, he joked with lottery officials. I was hooping and a hollering.

Sandy Keeler, the manager at Wildwood Convenience, sold him the winning ticket.

He threw his arms up in the air, hugged me and gave me a smooch on the cheek, said Keeler. It was a good thing he bought that ticket instead. We were glad to see a regular customer win.

Delk, a truck driver, calls Moncks Corner home. He stops in at Wildwood Convenience about once a week to play the Lottery. Until now, the most hes won has been $500.

When he arrived in Columbia with the Emerald Green 7s ticket, he could hardly finish a sentence without laughing.

I feel great, he grinned. Im having a great day.

The winner shared hes always rented and will use the winnings to buy some land and build a home. Wildwood Convenience will also benefit by receiving $2,000, a 1 percent retailer commission when the ticket was claimed.

According to Keeler, this $200,000 winner is the largest scratch-off winner the store has sold. Wildwood Convenience has had great success with Powerball, selling tickets worth $800,000 and $600,000.

As of this release, four top prizes of $200,000 remain in the Emerald Green 7s game. Odds of winning the top prize are little more than 1 in 497,000.
