$250,000 Mega Millions® Ticket Sold in Beech Island

COLUMBIA, SC (March 21, 2011) – If you bought a Mega Millions® ticket from Mo Convenience and Tobacco Store at 1214 Sand Bar Ferry Road in Beech Island, you might be $250,000 richer today.

The ticket for the Friday, March 18 drawing matched all five white ball numbers drawn. Had the ticket holder purchased Megaplier® for an extra $1, the $250,000 winnings would have been multiplied to $1 MILLION, regardless of the Megaplier® drawn.

Check your tickets. In Friday night’s drawing, more than 15,500 of the South Carolina Education Lottery’s players won prizes from $2 up to $250,000. For the 4,865 players in South Carolina who spent a total of $2 to purchase Megaplier®, their prizes will be multiplied by four. Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim the prize. The estimated Mega Millions® jackpot for Tuesday, March 22, 2011, is $244 million.

Approximately 97 cents of every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery is returned to the state in the form of funding for education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
