SCEL's Talent Search begins for Draw Personality

Columbia, SC:  The South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) will begin a statewide search for its first nightly draw personalities.  Candidates will need to bring a video taping announcing why they want to be one of the lottery's draw talents. The SCEL will also announce the television stations that will broadcast the lottery's Pick 3 game beginning in March 2002.

The announcement will be held Wednesday, February 6, 2002 at noon in the SCEL's new Showcase Center at 1333 Main Street, Suite 180, Columbia.  (It's the old Mailbox Etc. building next to the Atlanta Bread Company)

The SCEL's Showcase Center will serve as a multi-purpose facility for the lottery. The SCEL will have the capability to host special events, produce and televise the nightly draws and serve as the Columbia Redemption Center.

"This is an opportunity for the people of South Carolina to witness the numbers drawn every night", says Ernie Passailaigue, SCEL Executive Director.  "It will be a street front studio similar to network programs".
