Columbia, SC (December 29, 2010): The Mega Millions® jackpot has been building over the past several weeks and is now an estimated $237 million! For a chance to win this incredible jackpot, purchase a ticket for the next drawing on Friday, December 31, 2010.

Mega Millions® jackpots begin at $12 million, but there are many other prizes and chances to win. If you win a non-jackpot prize, the purchase of Megaplier® will multiply your prize by 2, 3, or 4. Match 5 white balls and the ticket holder wins $1 million, no matter the Megaplier® number drawn. Mega Millions® tickets cost $1; the Megaplier® multiplier option costs an additional dollar.

Mega Millions® drawings are televised on the Lottery’s draw partner stations each Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. Odds of winning the lowest prize are 1 in 75. Odds of winning a top prize are 1 in 175,711,536. Overall odds are 1 in 40.
