Florence Man is $200,000 in the Black
11/18/2010 9:46:02 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (November 18, 2010) – A Florence man, who works two jobs, one at a truck stop at night, the other for a car dealership during the day, has won $200,000 on the Black ticket.

He was at his day job, detailing cars for Auddie Brown Superstore in Florence, when he decided to take a break and scratch the ticket. I screamed “Wow, man!” I couldn’t believe it. A fellow working with me wanted to know what was wrong and I said, “Nothing.”

Twenty minutes later the winner was leaving work to have his son drive him to Columbia to claim the prize. He slept the whole trip. “Working two jobs, you nap when you can,” he laughed.

The winner plans to use his winnings to buy a house and enjoy a nice Christmas with his family.

Black is a $10 instant game that launched Tuesday. As of this release, six top prizes of $200,000 remain in the game. For complete information, visit sceducationlottery.com.

Speedy Mart in Florence sold the winning ticket and received $2,000. Every retailer that sells a claimed ticket of $10,000 or more earns a 1 percent retailer commission, capped at $50,000.
