Gamecock Fan Is $100,000 Richer

COLUMBIA, SC (October 14, 2010) While watching the Carolina game on television Saturday, a Sumter woman, an admitted Gamecock fan, was so inspired by her team's performance she decided to test her own luck. Turns out both were winners.

During a break in the action, she scratched a Camaro® instant ticket and won $100,000. She called her son to tell him she thought she won some money, then sat back down to finish cheering on the Gamecocks as they dethroned number one Alabama.

"I wanted to win the car on the ticket, but I'm satisfied," said the smiling winner, who requested her name not be publicized.

Young's Food Stores #617 in Sumter sold the winning ticket. Every retailer that sells a claimed ticket of $10,000 or more earns a 1 percent retailer commission, capped at $50,000. The retailer received $1,000.

As of the date of this release, more than $620,000 in prizes remain in the $5 Camaro® game, including one Chevrolet® Camaro® 1SS™.
