COLUMBIA, SC (August 5, 2010) Customers of York retailer, Mini Mart, on East Liberty Street, have only one hot topic of conversation. The store recently sold a Hot Hot Hot instant ticket worth $200,000! The Hot Hot Hot game has more than $14 million in prizes remaining, including four top prizes of $200,000.
The lucky player who bought the ticket does not want his name publicized, but he is 46-years-old and lives in Rock Hill.
Mini Mart staff is pretty stoked about the win as well. Every retailer that sells a claimed ticket of $10,000 or more earns a 1 percent commission, capped at $50,000. Mini Mart received a $2,000 retailer commission.
Approximately 97 cents of every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery is returned to the state in the form of contributions to education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
