8/3/2010 10:44:22 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (August 3, 2010) A player from West Columbia could barely contain his excitement after the Wild 10s instant ticket he bought revealed a $200,000 prize. I cant sit down right now, he told lottery staff.
The 29-year-old man does not want to publicize his name, but he purchased his winning ticket at Carolina Corner in West Columbia.
The store is benefitting from the win as well. Every retailer that sells a claimed ticket of $10,000 or more earns a 1 percent commission, capped at $50,000. Carolina Corner received a $2,000 retailer commission.
Wild 10s is a $10 ticket with more than $11 million in prizes remaining, including 2 top prizes of $200,000.
Approximately 97 cents of every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery is returned to the state in the form of contributions to education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
