West Columbia Player Wins $200,000 Cash Spectacular Prize!
7/21/2010 9:07:20 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (July 21, 2010) A West Columbia woman is feeling lucky after winning $200,000 on a Cash Spectacular instant ticket. The player asked that her name not be publicized, but she purchased her winning ticket at Piggly Wiggly #86 in Lexington.
The store has reason to celebrate as well. Every retailer that sells a claimed ticket of $10,000 or more earns a 1 percent commission, capped at $50,000. Piggly Wiggly #86 received a $2,000 retailer commission.
Approximately 97 cents of every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery is returned to the state in the form of contributions to education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
