MEDIA ALERT - Aiken Store Sells $250,000 Mega Millions Ticket

WHAT: A Mega Millions® ticket sold in Aiken matched all five numbers to win a $250,000 top prize in Friday night’s drawing! The ticket has not been claimed so far.


WHERE: Kent’s Korner #2 on East Pinelog Road in Aiken sold the ticket that matched all five white ball numbers in the July 16, Mega Millions® drawing just missing the Megaball®. The winning numbers were 2, 15, 18, 20 and 39. The gold Megaball® was 34. Although the player did not purchase the Megaplier®, the Megaplier® was 3.

More than 5,100 tickets sold in South Carolina were winners with prizes from $2 up to the $250,000 match 5 prize. There was one jackpot winning ticket sold in California.


WHO: Players should always check their numbers carefully. The winning $250,000 ticket can be claimed at a South Carolina Education Lottery Claims Center located in Columbia, Greenville and Mt. Pleasant. Winning ticket holders have 180 days from the day of the drawing to claim their prizes.
