COLUMBIA, SC (October 12, 2009) – It is time for fun and games at the fairgrounds! Join the South Carolina Education Lottery (SCEL) at the S.C. State Fair October 14 – 25 in Columbia.
For every $10 purchase of lottery tickets, players 18 years of age and older can spin the prize wheel filled with cool T-shirts, duffle bags, and more. Back by popular demand is the Mega Wheel - a giant spinning attraction packed with even more exciting goodies like officially licensed Harley-Davidson® merchandise. The complete lineup of lottery games will be available for purchase including player favorites: Powerball®, MegaMatch 6SM, Palmetto Cash 5, Pick 3 and Pick 4 as well as the latest instant tickets.
Since the Lottery’s inception in 2002, the General Assembly has appropriated more than $2.2 billion for educational purposes through fiscal year 2010. Approximately 97 cents of every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery is returned to the state in the form of contributions to education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
