Bennettsville Store Sells Instant Ticket Worth a Fantastic $155,555!

COLUMBIA, SC (September 21, 2009) – It is fantastic news for BK’s Grocery in Bennettsville! The store sold a Fantastic 5’s instant ticket worth $155,555.
The player who claimed the prize asked that his name not be publicized. He is from Bennettsville.
A retailer who sells a claimed ticket of $10,000 or more receives a 1 percent selling bonus. BK’s Grocery, located at 500 State Street, received a $1,555.55 check. The selling bonus is capped at $50,000.
Fantastic 5’s is a $10 instant ticket with two top prizes still left in the game. More than $5.6 million in total prizes are remaining.
Since the Lottery’s inception in 2002, the General Assembly has appropriated more than $2.2 billion for educational purposes through fiscal year 2010. Approximately 97 cents of every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery is returned to the state in the form of contributions to education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
