WHAT: The MegaMatch 6SM jackpot of $1,693,568 now stands as the highest jackpot in the history of the game! The top prize has steadily increased from its $550,000 start since the last jackpot of $875,000 was won by a Blacksburg resident on March 20.

WHEN: MegaMatch 6SM drawings are held Tuesday and Friday evenings at 6:59 p.m. and televised live across the state.

BACKGROUND: A MegaMatch 6SM ticket costs $5 and has three rows of six numbers in each row. Players win the jackpot by matching all six numbers on a single line. Other ways to win prizes include matching four to six numbers in a single row or by matching five or more numbers contained in all three rows for a combination win. Players can win up to four times on a ticket with prizes ranging from $7 up to the jackpot. The MegaMatch 6SM jackpot starts at $550,000 and grows at a minimum of $25,000 each drawing until won. Players have 180 days from the date of the drawing to claim their prizes. The South Carolina Education Lottery launched MegaMatch 6SM in February 2008.
