7/16/2009 9:31:28 AM

COLUMBIA, SC (July 16, 2009) – “I am so surprised! This is great news!” That is what store owner Alpa Patel said when she learned MJM Food Store #11, located at 1201 W. Turbeville Highway in Lake City, had sold a Cash Bonanza Bonus ticket worth $1 million.
The excitement surrounding the lucky ticket is good for business.
“When our customers find out about us selling a $1 million ticket, they’ll want to come here to buy more tickets,” Patel said.
She says the store has sold several large prize tickets, including one worth $100,000, but the million dollar ticket is enough to earn MJM Food Store #11 a golden reputation.
“Our players really enjoy coming here and talking about winners,” Patel said.
A retailer that sells a claimed ticket of $10,000 or more receives a 1 percent selling bonus. MJM Food Store #11 earned a $10,000 bonus.
The $1 million Cash Bonanza Bonus ticket was claimed by an Olanta resident. The player requested his name not be released. Four additional top prizes of $1 million remain in the game.
