Finalists Compete in Big League Baseball Second-Chance Summer Promotion!

COLUMBIA, SC (June 10, 2009) – Three lucky finalists are warming up for their chance to score a trip in the South Carolina Education Lottery’s Big League Baseball Second-Chance Summer Promotion!
The Lottery’s big reveal event will immediately follow the Charleston Riverdogs baseball game on Friday, June 19. Three finalists will each scratch oversized Big League Baseball tickets revealing prizes. Two contestants will win $1,000, and the Grand Prize winner will win a trip (4- day, 3-night, plus airfare and $1,000 spending money) to the Major League Baseball® ballpark of his/her choice.
The three finalists are: Willie Allsbrook, of Hartsville; Sharon Cloman, of Columbia; and Valerie Sawyer, of Darlington.
The Big League Baseball Second-Chance Summer Promotion continues with another big reveal event with the Greenville Drive on Friday, July 10. Visit sceduationlottery.com for more details on entering non-winning $5 Big League Baseball tickets for the last two drawings. The final drawing is for $100,000. All entries not chosen in the first two drawings are eligible for the final drawing.
Since the Lottery’s inception in 2002, the General Assembly has appropriated more than $2 billion for educational purposes through fiscal year 2009. In the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008, more than 97 cents of every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery was returned to the state in the form of contributions to education, prizes, retailer commissions and payment to contractors for goods and services.
