SCEL Has a New Place to Call Home

Columbia, SC: Come December 1st, the South Carolina Education Lottery will move its headquarters to the Washington Mutual Building. (Formerly the Fleet Building)

Lottery officials signed the lease Monday securing the 4th Floor as well as office space at the ground level for the Columbia Regional Office. Im very ecstatic about this adventitious lease, says Executive Director, Ernie Passailaigue. We are pleased to be on Main Street in a prime location that is accessible to the public and meets our business needs.

Locations for the regional offices are in the process of being finalized. The Greenville Regional Office will be stationed at 18th Augusta Street. And 537 Long Point Road will be the new address for the Charleston location. Those two new leases should be completed in the next couple of days.

The new office space, in Columbia, will house administrative, marketing sales, security and data support staff. The Joint Bond Review Committee has given the nod for a 5 year lease on the Washington Mutual Building, but the deal wont be complete until approval from the Budget and Control Board.
