COLUMBIA, SC (November 12, 2008) – Check your Powerball® tickets carefully! You could be holding one worth $200,000! The lucky ticket was sold at Carowinds Exxon Shop in Fort Mill. No one has yet come forward to claim the prize.
The winning white ball numbers from the Saturday, November 8 drawing were 2, 4, 21, 36, and 40. The red Powerball® was 41, and the PowerPlay® multiplier was 2.
The winning ticket matched all five white ball numbers but missed the red Powerball® number and the chance to win the $25 million jackpot! The jackpot now stands at $32 million for tonight’s drawing.
Winning Powerball® tickets must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing.
Since inception in 2002, the General Assembly has appropriated more than $2 billion for educational purposes through fiscal year 2009. In the fiscal year ending June 30, 2008, more than 97 cents of every dollar spent by players on the South Carolina Education Lottery is returned to the state in the form of contributions to education, prizes, retailer commissions, and payment to contractors for goods and services.
