Winner After scratching a Cool Cash Doubler instant ticket, Alfred Edwards Jr. was amazed to learn he won $25,000. A native of York, Edwards is looking forward to going on vacation. He purchased the ticket from Bi-Lo #719 in York. When asked about the Lottery’s support of education, Edwards commented, “Great idea. It helps kids that may not get to go [to college] otherwise.”
 
Winner “Wow,” said Detta Duckett when she won $75,000 playing American Idol™. A Dalton, GA resident, Duckett purchased her lucky ticket from Carolina Food Mart in Summerton. She plans to use her money to go on a vacation. When asked about the Lottery’s support of education, Duckett replied, “It’s wonderful.”
 
Winner The first person a stunned Stephen Crump, of Rock Hill, told when he won $1,525 playing Palmetto Cash 5 was his wife. He plans to use his winnings to purchase a few things for his children. Crump purchased his winning ticket from 7-mart in Rock Hill. He believes the Lottery’s support of education is good.
 
Winner The first person Steve Woods, of Columbia, told when he won $600 playing Palmetto Cash 5 was his mom! He plans to use the winnings to finish making payments on his new laptop computer. Woods purchased his winning ticket from Pantry Express #666 in Columbia.
