Winner Ronald Myers, of Moncks Corner, won $10,000 in the Carolina Payout instant game. He said it was his first time winning in the lottery. The first-time winner claimed his prize October 19. His ticket was purchased at Wildwood Convenience Store #1 in Moncks Corner.
 
Winner A Chinese fortune cookie held the key to a win for Thomas Peters Sr., of Stone Mountain, Ga. He won $5,000 going for the Powerball jackpot. He claimed his prize October 18. His winning ticket was purchased at Race Trac Petroleum #427 in Aiken.
 
Winner Cory Fox, of Bennettsville, "couldn't believe it" when he realized he won $2,700 playing Pick 4. It was his first time winning the lottery. "I've never been so lucky in my life," he said. The lucky man claimed his prize October 12. His winning ticket was purchased at Corner Grocery in Bennettsville.
 
Winner Catherine Douglas, of Society Hill, doesn't have plans for the $2,700 she won playing Pick 4. But she's happy to have won. She claimed her prize October 7. The winning ticket was purchased at Country Fork in Society Hill.
