Edie Rodgers is a native South Carolinian, born and raised in Gaffney.  She graduated from Bolen’s Business College in Augusta, Georgia.  Ms. Rodgers has maintained a longstanding commitment to public service on both the local and state levels.  She has held numerous leadership positions on a wide variety of community service organizations such as the Historic Beaufort Foundation, Alter Guild of St. Helena’s Episcopal Church, the Beaufort County Republican Party, Beaufort Chamber Orchestra Guild, Main Street Beaufort, and Friends of Beaufort Museum. She served on the Beaufort City Council from 1989 to 1993.  Ms. Rodgers was elected to the South Carolina House of Representatives and served from 1997 until 2002 when she did not seek re-election.  Ms. Rodgers has three children and 3 grandchildren.
